That’s a perfect example of why you should check it frequently. I, too, have had some weird stuff on my credit report. Luckily, it wasn’t the end of the world, but frightening how easy stuff gets messed up.

They might cut you some slack and work to keep you current on your account.

One time someone with a similar name had his info on my credit report. Luckily it wasn’t anything negative but you want to make sure the info there is accurate.
