For me, the main reason to start a side hustle is that I can work on things I love and I feel passionate about. Usually, you don’t have that working in corporate.

I can attest to many of them myself. Since I started side hustling my life has changed for the better. I’ve been able to eliminate some of my debt and start an emergency fund. I’m not sure where my life would be without the side hustles.

Either way, you are making some extra cash to put in your pocket!

Wow that is so awesome Amanda! A majority of people would back down from the 100+ crowd so it’s awesome to hear that you were able to push yourself to that challenge. I think side hustles are by far the easiest way to do this, as you typically feel (a little) less pressure than at a 9-5.

I absolutely agree with you about slowly pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. For me, doing the TV segments was far outside of my comfort zone. But doing a few podcasts prior to that was really helpful and good initial first steps.

A few of them are what drove my wife and I to start side hustles. Not all panned out, but ultimately they’ve changed our lives in leading us to a growing business. The comfort zone is a big one, in my opinion. I’ve spoken to many people who don’t start a side hustle or new business out of fear. We’re human, so we’re all going to deal with that to a certain extent but what I’ve found that once you make it a practice to push the edges on your comfort zones it becomes a little bit easier each time – you just have to start…which is easier said than done at times.
