Obviously this is harder with windows. It’s also preferable to have light on one side and complete (as possible) darkness on the other. You, of course, need to be in the darkness.

Another way is to hold a candle around the edges and any suspected leaks. You should see the candle’s smoke being affected by any drafts.

Another “hack” – although I wouldn’t call it that – is to put insulation on any electrical outlets and switches that are on an outside wall.
