In reply to John @ Frugal Rules. Yes, it is very easy to get distracted when working from home. I find that it helps to identify when your prime work hours are to stay focused. For me, I like to get my work done in the morning or early afternoon because when my son gets home from school it's hard to focus.

Man I had a rough commute today and wished that I could work from home. My wife has been looking for some ideas as she would like to have more flexibility in her job so that she can be there for our 2 young kids.

All great tips Chonce. I never had a work from home job until we started our business and would never go back. That being said, I’d also add the importance of staying focused when working from home. I love not having meetings, or dealing with in-office type stuff at home but it’s very easy to get distracted and lose out on time – I’ve been working from home for five years now and it’s still a challenge for me at times.
