Thanks! I love that you said “we had just accepted it as one of our standard expenses.” We have more control over most of our expenses than we realize! So cool that you guys were able to see that and adjust it to not only fit your situation better, but to save money.

We made a big change in our life insurance in 2016, by cashing in whole term life policies. The monthly premiums were not worth the long-term gains. The pay outs helped us pay down more debt and slow down the accrual of interest against us. The problem was that we signed up so long ago, that it was just accepted one of our standard expenses. Questioning everything and doing your research are great strategies for making the most of your money.
