In reply to John @ Frugal Rules. Thanks, John. I don't usually participate in Black Friday either, but when I got married last year I really took advantage. I was able to save 40-50% on most items I knew I needed for the wedding, so that was a big win.

Weddings can be expensive -a lot for bride and groom-quiet for guests but these tips are really good!!!

All good ideas, I think most people aren’t savvy enough to be focused on these items on black Friday! Great idea for those planning a wedding coming up next year.

All great ideas Rachel. My wife & I got married in May, so nowhere near Black Friday but it does make sense to take advantage of it if you can. That said, we really don’t do much in terms of Black Friday shopping other than watch for a deal or two on Amazon – when we do it’s typically for something around the house.
