It scared the bejeesus out of me since I’m a shy person. I got a lot of nos, but a few yesses – and I’m still with those clients after 11 months!

I found clients who needed constant work, and so I really only had to find about three clients before I was all booked up around my full-time job. I’ve since sent out a few pitches and it’s still just as nerve-wracking as it was before because I’m not constantly pitching people! :)

In my opinion, the first tip is a must. You have to have a platform. Without that many clients may not take you serious.

I like the idea of the “Work with me” page but haven’t put one together yet. Suggesting a network is great too, it’s a little bit differently developing a network online compared to in-person, but, it’s still very doable. I’m still relatively new to the freelancing scene but have seen how a network is beneficial.
